Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari is
reportedly angry at the board members of the Niger Delta Development
Commission (NDDC), and has summoned the management of the company.
The presidency, according to
Vanguard reports, is saddened
by the alleged mismanagement of funds of the commission running into
billions of Naira, and has called the management of the commission for
questioning on the true financial status of the agency.
The president, sources revealed, would meet the management team of
the NDDC and take them up on many issues relating to the management of
the resources of the commission since the new board came on board in
December 2013.

allowing influential politicians to hijack the agency and make away with
billions of Naira, while pretending to be executing contracts
